February Interview - Day Four

Let's get the interview rolling. :)

DG: I was flooded with questions yesterday, Ahryn. Let's start with one that I got from several people. They would like to know what kind of powers you have.

Ahryn: ::smiles:: Most people mistake magic for powers. I suppose that in a way the Fae do possess some type of power, but mostly we use magic. Not the magic of spells or incantations. Our magic is pure magic, a part of who the Fae are. Its difficult to describe what its like to have magic when I've never been without out.

DG: Maybe describe some of the things you can do.

Ahryn: I can shift through time. The more powerful a Fae the less they have to use our doorways, which are literally what they are called. They open doors to other realms. For a Fae who has great magic, they can shift through time and realms without the aid of the doorways.

DG: The next question from Mike coincides with your answer. He'd like to know if you can heal people like Aimery does?

Ahryn: All Fae have the ability to heal, though some can heal faster and better than others. Not all Fae hold the same amount of magic in everything. Aimery is a very old Fae and has learned to concentrate his magic on certain abilities. Since he is a Fae commander and often in the thick of battle, he and his men have learned to heal.

DG: Very smart of them. So what have you concentrated your magic on.

Ahryn: ::lowers eyes and smiles:: Shifting through time. I like the freedom to go when and where I'd like.

DG: I suspect most people would also like to have that freedom.

Ahryn: I recently discovered an ancient text in my Grandfather's library, and for a Fae to say its ancient, you know it is old.

DG: ::nods enthusiastically:: I'd love to see it. What was in it?

Ahryn: It spoke of communicating through our minds. The Fae can read minds if a person has not been shown how to block their thoughts, but to communicate with thoughts alone has been done by only a select few with very great magic.

DG: That could come in handy. Keep me updated on that for I'd like to see how fast you conquer it. Now, onto the next question. This one is from Nancy and she would like to know who she can meet a Fae?

Ahryn: ::chuckles:: Chances are, Nancy, you've walked by one and didn't realize it. If you know a Fae's name you can call to him and see if they will appear. The Fae have learned to be very cautious of letting any human know their name, and even more cautious about appearing to a human.

DG: Ahryn, I know you're anxious to explore more so I won't keep you. I truly appreciate you wanting to come this week and allow everyone to get to know you better.

Ahryn: It was my pleasure. I will come back very soon.

It was great learning about Ahryn.
You have to bring Ahryn back in the future.
Will she find Lugus?
