Roderick Interview - Day Four
I can't believe today is our last day with Roderick, but I know I cannot keep him any longer. He has a job to do and he must go to it. :-/
DG: Good morning, Roderick.
Roderick: Good morn, my lady.
DG: Did you bring another present? ::smiles hopefully::
Roderick: ::laughs:: I did, though it isn't for you. This if for your readers.
DG: ::takes gift and opens box only to gasp:: Is this what I think it is?
Roderick: Aye. 'Tis a Fae necklace. The crystal is from the Realm of the Fae, and though it holds no magic on your realm, if you wear it into the Fae realm, you will be able to not only feel the magic of the realm, but use it as well.
DG: ::looks up at Roderick:: This is...amazing. A truly magical and special gift not given by the Fae to just anyone. Thank you.
Roderick: It wasn't me. Thank Aimery.
DG: Aimery did this? ::clucks tone but smiles:: That little bugger. He does like to give surprises.
Roderick: Aye, he does. So, what questions do you have for me today? ::reclines in chair with legs stretched out in front of him and ankles crossed::
DG: Welllllll....::looks over questions:: Oh, here's one. When you get wounded and heal, does it hurt?
Roderick: ::laughs:: Aye, very much. I get cut, I bleed and feel the pain same as you. I just heal a bit quicker.
DG: A bit? I'd say it was 'a bit' more than that. How long do you think you'll be battling these creatures?
Roderick: ::smile fades as he sighs:: Until we find all of the Chosen who can end the reign of the Great Evil.
DG: For those who don't know, explain the Chosen to them.
Roderick: Long ago, a realm was destroyed by the Great Evil. But before he could deal the final blow, the people of the realm sent out 12 infants to Earth. Six boys and six girls. They scattered throughout time and country once they reached Earth. It is important that we find them because they hold the key to the destruction of the Great Evil.
DG: Twelve is a lot. Must you have all twelve to end the evil?
Roderick: ::shakes head:: We only need four at the very least, but the more we have the better chance we have.
DG: Do they have anything to identify them to make it easier for the Shields to find them?"
Roderick: Aye, they do. They have what looks like a tattoo, though very faint. Its no bigger than a coin. I was amazed to discover that the future actually has a name for the symbol - a Trinity knot. That knot is also circled by a wide band.
DG: A symbol that should be easy to spot.
Roderick: Easy except that the people knew their children would be hunted, so they put the symbols on areas of the bodies that aren't always seen. Hugh found Mina's on the back of her neck.
DG: Sounds like the Shields have a lot of work to do. I appreciate you stopping by here and talking to me and the interested readers. I suppose I'd better let you get back to work.
Roderick: I should. Besides, we just learned the creatures are now showing up in places that the Chosen are. I think I might have found another Chosen.
DG: Oh, I bet you did. She just happens to be beautiful, too, doesn't she?
Roderick: ::displays a wicked grin:: More than you know. Stay safe, my lady. I hope your readers enjoy Aimery's gift. ::stands and bows:: Until next time.
