Monday Already?

My gosh the weekend flew by.

Friday we had our daughter's birthday party here. Someone please tell me what possessus us parents to do this? Its kinda like child birth. You forget year to year. :S Well, she and the other kids had a blast and that's all that matters.

My husband left late Friday night to get ready for the MS150. At the last minute, me and the kids decided to stay. It was a good thing. Not only did my son wake up sick and we had to miss his T-Ball game, but my husband called to tell me he couldn't use the tent because there were huge ant beds everywhere. Luckily, he had a friend there that let him use the bed in their travel trailer. He fishished the MS150, which is something many don't do.

So, I used the weekend to get caught up with my writing. I told the kids they could watch TV or do whatever they wanted, but I had to write. Amazingly enough, they let me. I got within five pages of catching up. Yeah!!!!

Then, I found out this morning that the release of Highland Nights has been pushed back to May 19th.

(sigh)

It happens in the publishing world. Its just one of those things.

D, what's the MS150?

Do they give you reasons for pushing back a release? Can you talk about them? Inquiring minds wanna know. *g*

Hope your son feels better soon. I hate being sick and feeling all yucky.

The MS150 is the Multiple Sclerosis 150 mile, two day bike ride from Houston to Austin that takes place yearly.

As for the reasons the book was pushed back? I don't know. It could be a number of things. An author might not have turned her book in on time, cover art might not have gotten in on time or something else. Regardless, it affected my release date. I'm not sure if I'm the only one that got pushed back or not. I know I turned everything in on time, so it wasn't me. :)

Connor is as plucky as ever now. Thanks!

I had a feeling that's what's the MS150 was. Kudos! to hubby for finishing. Very admirable.

I think that's a bummer that everyone gets affected instead of the one author who might be late or whatever.

I love that word..."plucky"
