Rita has Hit
Well, the wait is over. Rita hit and hit a very few miles from my home in Orange. Not sure when we'll be able to return home. City officals have asked everyone to stay away until power is back on and they've cleared all the debris. Apparantely, there are trees down everywhere as well as blown windows.
I'm a little worried that a tree decided to land in the middle of my house, but I won't know for several days. Our plan is to leave Austin once we get word from my other brother-in-law who returned to Kemah (the Houston area) and gets power back. Kemah is only two hours from our house, so the closer we can get the better.
This has been a complete nightmare. My daughter is so worried about her room. She still hasn't realized about Ron, our goldfish, was left. I know it won't be good when she does realize it.
My parents and my husband's parents also have homes in the affected area, so we're all on pins and needles waiting. On top of all of this, I have a migraine from Hell and a stress headache from all the worry.
And PMS.
Ugh. At least my 3 year old son is having fun riding around in the golf cart with his father and uncle. :)
And to top it off, I can check emails, but I can't send it through my email server. I need to let so many people know that I'm ok. Guess I'll have to keep trying.

I hope you manage to get away with no damage! Sorry you have to go through this. I'll be glad for all of you on the Gulf Coast when this hurricane season is over!
I hate hurricanes!
