MySpace

You know, I never understood everyone's fascination with MySpace. It took me awhile but I finally got my page and set it up. I found new readers and friends, and even old friends.

I also discovered that I liked having the page. It was just another promotional tool for authors to use, and we use it very well.

But, when I logged on this morning and found that someone had hacked into my account and wiped my ENTIRE page, I was devestated. I feel violated and angrier beyond words. How the hell are these people getting in?

I change my password every other week and make sure I log out when I leave the page. I've had them hack into my account before to post some bulletin about earning money or even changing my name. I was annoyed at that, but that was nothing compared to what they did to me last night.

I'm working on putting my page up the way it was, but its time consuming and frustrating beyond words. If any hackers are reading this - get a life. Hack into companies or governments but stay away from normal everyday people who are trying to make a living. Because, Karma is a bitch and what goes around comes around.

Sorry this happened. I've ran into a few pages with code that did goofy things to my computer. One was one of those freebie-graphic sites. So many myspace users use their stuff without questioning. I don't think that particular graphic's website is using malicious code. I think they've got errors that confuse my computer. Better safe than sorry though.

Thanks, Annalee. Yes, I've had some of those codes as well. So much to look out for on Myspace.
