Bought Any Books Lately?
I've been reading through my TBR (to be read) pile rather quickly lately. I just discovered Toni Blake. My goodness this woman can write a novel!
In truth, I almost didn't read it because it was a contemporary, but as I was pulling books to give to a Woman's Shelter, I kept taking In Your Wildest Dreams back out. Just the other day, I decided to give it a try and see why my gut kept telling me to hold onto the book.
Well, let me tell you, it was a great book. If you haven't read any of Toni's novels, get thyself to a bookstore and pick one up. You won't be disappointed.
And where have I been with Kathryn Smith? She's a historical author but I had never picked up one of her books before this week. I read In Your Arms Again another great read, and I'm looking for the other books in this series of four brothers. I'm greatly intrigued to see what happened to the first and what will happen to the other two.
Hmmm. I do have a coupon to B&N. Maybe I'll go book shopping today. :D
So, what books have you read lately?

I recently read Lord of Scoundrels by Loretta Chase for the first time...LOVED it. I bought Highland Mist last week, but haven't gotten around to reading it yet...been busy.
Toni is a great author and online friend...she is so sweet and is one of the authors in a Yahoo group I belong too. I haven't read In Your Wildest Dreams though.
I'll have to go pick up Loretta's book, Jennifer. Thanks!
I highly recommend IN YOUR WILDEST DREAMS. Maybe it was because the hero was Cajun and I'm half-Cajun (Dad was born/bred in Louisiana). :)
Wow, January. Those books sound good. I'm putting them on my list to buy. :)
lmao. Yeah, that first line does kinda do that. :D
I've read Kathryn Smith. She's good. I have one left in the brothers' series and I haven't picked up the paranormal yet but I hear it's fabulous.
My book buying this year was curtailed while I tried to pay off other things so the library got a lot of my business. I let them order the books in for me! But I discovered Jennifer Crusie this year which was interesting since I don't normally read contemporary. Of course now I'm writing one. Go figure.
She wrote a paranormal, Kelly? I'll have to look for that, too. Hmmm. My list is just growing and growing. :)
lol. Funny how things change, huh? Good luck on the contemporary. You'll have to tell me if it was easier to write than the historicals.
Thank you, sweetie! So glad you're liking the book.
::writing down titles:: Thanks for the book info. Can't wait to go pick some of these up. :)
I just got the complete circle trilogy by Nora Roberts to read . I wanted to get them all before I started reading the first one. I also just got Conspiracy Game by Christine Feehan in the mail to read and a restless knight by Deborah Macgillivcay to read. Went Christmas shopping today and most of everything I need for everyone. Just need to buy for my son and oldest grandson now.
