Interview With...
Roderick. At the last moment, the votes came in to pull him ahead of poor Cole. :)
So, let me get comfortable and dig out all the questions that were sent to me to ask Roderick. Hmmm. Quite a few good ones I see. Oh. I think I here him coming.
DG: Good afternoon, Roderick.
Roderick: ::flashing devilish smile as he sits:: I won. Cole isn't happy that I beat him at something yet again.
DG: Oh, quite it, you scoundrel.
Roderick: So, what type of questions do you have for me this week?
DG: ::looks over papers:: Some good ones actually.
Roderick: Let's get started then ::sitting back and crossing arms over chest::
DG: Being a prince, and an immortal one at that, must have had many priveligest How different was it for you to go from being a prince to a warrior for the Shields?
Roderick: I won't lie and say that sometimes I miss being on Thales with my family. My being a prince was just an added benefit with a family such as mine. Our royal family wasn't spoiled, we worked just as hard as the rest of the Thalians. It was a bit of an adjustment for me when I joined the Shields, but I met men who became family to me. We are brothers, and the trust between us is strong. There is nothing that can divide us.
DG: Those are strong words, Roderick.
Roderick: ::raises brows:: They are the truth. We Shields have been to Hell and back, literally. Not many men can say that. Fate has a way of changing your outlook on life. I found a group of men who regarded me as an equal, regardless of what I was on my realm. Each of us have pasts that haunt us - some more than others.
DG: The Shields have been around for far longer than most people realize. Just how many creatures have you killed? And can you give us some ideas of what you've faced?
Roderick: I've lost count of the times we've faced the evil creatures. We move from one mission to the other. This is the first time Aimery has split us up though, and none of us are liking it.
DG: And the creatures?
Roderick: ::snorts:: You want a list? Go look up mythological creatures and you'll find what we've faced. Whoever said these creatures aren't real is a liar.
DG: So, you were paired with Val for your next mission.
Roderick: ::rolls eyes:: I wondered when you were going to ask about him. He's a good man, a great general and the finest of warriors.
DG: Do you know where Aimery is sending you two?
Roderick: :: sits forward with a sigh:: Aye. The future.
Stay tuned all this week for more of the interview with Roderick. Remember, to be entered into the drawing for this week's prize, you must respond to the blog. :)
