V

I just saw V for Vendetta and I have to say, this movie blew me away. Even after watching it a couple of days ago, I'm still thinking about this movie - and let me tell you, we watch a lot of movies, so I rarely find myself thinking about a movie after I've watched it, but this one sure did it.

Its also one that I'm going to have to buy. If you haven't seen it and are looking for an engrossing tale of suspense and mystery with a dash of love thrown in, this is the movie for you.

I found myself connecting with the heroine from the very beginning. Natalie Portman portrays Evey perfectly, and though her English accent wasn't the best, it didn't offend.

And the hero. Wow. Hugo Weaving was exceptional in every way. At first I wondered how this Lord of the Rings and Matrix star would pull this off, but after watching this movie, all I can say is he made it look easy. He was perfect as V. I couldn't imagine anyone else playing this comic book character.

I highly recommend it and wish that I had seen it at the movies.
