Here Comes May

I hope everyone had a good weekend. Ours was...adventurous...to say the least.
I had to work the school festival for two hours in the nasty storm that blew through and a tornado that hit our town, and just as I was finishing my shift I heard my son start screaming.

I looked over to see my husband holding him, but I didn't see any blood. It wasn't until my husband brought him to our booth with an ice pack on his eye that I saw the deep cut at the corner of his left eye. I should be used to this with Connor by now, but I'm not. Thank goodness one of the other mothers in there with me was a doctor. She took one look at Connor and told us to meet her at her office. So, we loaded up the kids and hurried over there.

Thankfully, there wasn't a need for stitches, though he has a nice set of butterfly bandages on his now bruised and swollen eye. :S Ah, the joy of having boys.

On the writing front, I've gotten word that things are going good for RT and my books. I also heard that I should get my cover any day now. I'm really anxious and to the point of bribing the artist with chocolate or anything else she wants. :)

Hey D,
I'm sorry to hear about Connor. How did he cut his eye? Hope he's feeling better. My weekend was adventurous as well. 'Bout time. I'm so frickin' bored. I like what you did to your site and can't wait to see the new cover. Glad my only child is a Siamese cat. *g*

Can you believe the little bugger ran into a table while chasing my daughter and her friend?

Glad to hear your weekend was adventurous. I'm dying to hear about it. :)

Oh thanks. I had a publicist tell me that though she loved my colors and the Celtic theme, it was kinda boring. So, I spiced it up a bit. :D

Ouch. lol! Oh, to be young again...

Well, Saturday I got my hair done, bought a bunch of good books at Waldens, and drove to Providence to buy some earrings I've been looking for. Sunday I got my cat eyes tattoo worked on. I had Damian's eyes tattooed on the back of my neck. He's watching my back. Just as he does in life. It's a very special tattoo for me. I had it done last year but my artist had to make a few changes and polish it up a bit. He did a great job. I love tattoos! I have plans for many more.

Yesss..we've gotta have that Celtic theme. And spice is always good. *g*

D, did you get my contest entry? When a form is submitted by e-mail (I think and please don't quote me) you have to write your info in the e-mail if you're an AOL user. Is that true?

Ah, getting hair done and buying books. Sounds like my kind of day. :) The tat sounds really cool. My husband has two of them, one on each arm. The one on his left is the eagle, globe and anchor with the Marine Corp emblem. The other is a Celtic tribal tat that I fell in love with. :)

I did get your entry and it came across just fine, so whatever you did worked great. :)

My first tatt was USMC on my ankle. It's a long and scandalous story. *g* I want you to see my cat's eyes. I'll show all in Daytona. lol!

Glad you got my contest entry. :-)
