The Pressure Builds
As much as I wanted to continue rejoicing in my sale, my editor (how cool is that?) needed several things from me. I got my bio together, the blurb and the small other things she needed, but I'm still working on the one-liner. Who knew it would be so difficult. The one I have is for the entire trilogy and won't work. :( So, I've been kicking around other ideas while the pressure mounts.
Nothing like pressure to help the mind create. :S
This one liner is what people will see with my book cover. Its pretty much all they'll get to entice them to look further and get the longer blurb. I'm just praying I get it right.
And speaking of covers, NCP sent me a questionnaire to fill out on what I'd like my cover to look at. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the questionnaire is great. Very detailed, which allowed me to give them several options on what I'd like.
Now, as I'm still frantically trying to put together that one-liner, I'm anxiously awaiting news on my release date, how extensive revisions will be, if I get to keep my title, not to mention what my cover will look like.
Its so exciting, yet nerve wracking at the same time.
I've promised myself I'd get that one-liner done today. Thankfully, I have my critique/plotting buddies who are wonderful and helping me stay calm while aiding me in crafting that nasty little bugger - the one-liner. :)
