Eight Days of Passion - Day Two

Day One Winner - KimW! Email me so you can get your prize.

Here's Day Two's excerpt:

A droplet of water landed on her hand and brought her out of her daze. Darkness met her gaze, and an abyss opened its mouth as they entered.

“’Tis just a cave,” Conall said, his voice low and soothing as if he had felt her fear.

Just a cave. Ha. “I can’t go in there. Don’t take me in there,” she pleaded as she turned around until she almost faced him. She hadn’t even tried to hide the fact she was terrified.

The thought of spiders dangling from the ceiling as they waited to crawl over her stopped any pretense she might have tried to use. She was petrified, and she must make Conall understand that to bring her in the cave would be bringing her into a living nightmare.

His eyes stared hard into hers. “With the threat of your father, I must take precautions. Entering through the caves is one of them. ‘Tis not very far to the other side.”

She glanced over her shoulder at the yawning hole of shadows. “I’m not going in there,” she stated.

“Aye, you will.”

Hmm...greatest fear...I think that would be sharks. And flying. Actually flying, having the plane crash into the ocean, surviving the crash and being eaten by a shark.

My greatest fear is fire. My cat's in the house when we go some place. So, I'm very anxious when I come home. I'm afraid there will be a fire and no one will be able get him out of the house.

I know just what you mean, Mel. I fear that as well, just not as much as spiders. Want to see me have a panic attack? Put a spider in front of me. (shudder)

I can completely understand, Kim. Spiders are mine, too. :S

Snakes are yuck, January, and I'll admit I run screaming if I see one. :)

I don't like spiders, either. However, I love snakes. And the bigger the better!
